Bishop Educational Gardens includes three acres of artistically designed gardens, ponds and garden sculptures. The gardens are maintained by master gardeners and volunteers.

A life long dream of the Bishops was realized in December 2008 when their property, now known as Bishop Educational Gardens, was donated to the Hocking Soil and Water Conservation District for educational purposes. The Bishops wanted their land to be preserved for the use of Hocking County citizens and those of surrounding areas. Some of the offerings throughout the year are:

• Yearly scholarships awarded to outstanding Logan High School students

• Special tours for persons with disabilities

• Workshops for children and adults

Guided nature hikes throughout the weekend of Lilyfest.
